Most computers at Gallaudet should have Spybot Search & Destroy software installed so you can run a scan of your computer and remove any questionable programs. To do this, you would go to:  Start > Programs > Misc Programs >

Spybot – Search & Destroy > Spybot-(S&D) Easy Mode.

Select English.

Select Search for Updates.

Select Download updates.

Select Search & Destroy on the top left portion of the screen

Select Check for problems on the bottom part of the screen.

This program may take some time to run, similar to an antivirus scan. When the scan is complete, click on Fix selected problems.

Select Yes.

This should remove known spyware and adware from your computer.

It is good practice to restart your computer and run the Spybot – Search and Destroy scan again. Thereafter, you should run it at least once every two weeks.
