If a student has a problem with his/her computer, the student can drop off
and pick up their computers at Edward Miner Gallaudet building, Room B09,
Monday through Friday between the hours of 9:00 – 11:00
AM and 1:00 – 3:00
PM. The Computer Support Services Unit provides the following services:
- Software Installation
- The Computer Support Services Unit's Technicians cannot legally
install any software without a valid license. Per the Campus
Agreement, the following software can be installed:
- Symantec AntiVirus Corporate Edition
- Office XP Upgrade
- Windows XP Upgrades
- (Mac) Office 2004 CD Only
- (Mac) Norton AntiVirus CD Only
- Hardware Installation
- Troubleshooting
- The university is not responsible for lost data. Machine
owners should backup all data before leaving it for repairs.
- The Computer Support Services Unit does not support Windows
95, Windows 98, or Windows ME users. Technicians can provide
a 30 Minute System Diagnosis to determine if your system meets
Windows XP minimum working requirements. If
the system meets the requirements, we can upgrade it for you.

Bring your computer to the Edward Miner Gallaudet Building, Room B09
for a 30 Minute system diagnosis. The Computer
Support Services Unit's Technicians will provide you with recommendations
for computer upgrades or repairs. If we are unable to meet
your repair needs, we suggest you contact an outside vendor.
